Nine months ago, Kevin published a "visual brainstorm" from a Beyond 
Broadcast 2007 event, a Free Culture timeline on a chalkboard:

It looks pretty cool, and he then wrote, "i want a wiki-editable timeline 
so that we can easily see how crazy things are getting. 2007 is going to 
be out the chimney!"

The FreeCulture.org wiki is now enabled with Super Magic Cow Semantic 
Powers (AKA Semantic MediaWiki), which makes it super easy to make 
timelines using the SIMILE Timeline app.  Check out e.g. 
http://ontoworld.org/wiki/Upcoming_events generated dynamically from wiki 
pages.

So Kevin and others, hopefully this hint can get you going on reviving 
this awesome project using the FreeCulture.org wiki.  If you get stuck on 
technicals, don't hesitate to ask me for help!
