which has the mission statement as (I believe) was decided at the 29
July meeting, specifically:

"to advance cultural participation in the digital age and to defend the
public interest in information and technology policy, including
copyrights and patents"

Sorry about the confusion.

As a general note, we've been somewhat behind in merging in changes
as-agreed, so at any time, the draft of RC2 might not reflect what's
been decided. Anything you notice that seems to be this case, please
note it on the talk page for RC2, as it helps ensure that nothing gets
forgotten.

(On the process: We've been logging each meeting, but haven't taken
minutes each time, which means we're sometimes left with a long log to
sift through to find what was decided. Whoops!)
