[FC-discuss] [*] Ghostface speaks to fans re: 1st week sales

When I first saw this post I figured he was saying thank you for downloading
it.

But its really a Metallica moment. He's not into it at all.

"I thought you all loved me."

... "go to the store and cop [sic] that CD. .. Just bring that CD to the
show."

What's interesting is that he's making this personal plea but its also
couched in a sort of promise -- go buy my CD and we'll chill at my next
show. He actually says this. Its like he understands that he needs to give
his fans a better reason to get his CD than just to get the music. He'll
offer them experience. Something they can't get from just downloading it.

What's also interesting is that he seems pretty disappointed with having
that many fans on myspace. Its like its a badge of honor, but that's it. He
recognizes that those fans, while personal and closely available, are not
actual sales, where once, there was a higher chance of that.
