To be frank I don't even know if there's a Senate companion, if the
companion has this provision, or at what stage of the process the
companion is at. Somebody would need to talk to someone who knows and
hopefully, if it hasn't been passed in committee yet, to introduce an
amendment in markup. Otherwise you try to amend on the floor, or hold up
the bill from ever being heard (which won't be popular if there are
other reasons to like the bill).
