[FC-discuss] Decentralized social networking

Well, not if all of the software packages add support for open
standards and make federation an explicit goal. I just went to the
BuddyPress IRC channel on freenode (#buddypress) and said as much.  I
think that with the evil Facebook EULA update now is a good time to
push for Facebook replacements, which requires decentralized services
that are able to federate together.  I think I might blog that :)
