Hi all,

Just to preface: Ben and I co-founded SFC at Berkeley and worked with many of
you on the 2008 FC conference, but I'm currently on haitus as an SFC chapter
member and not on the Board, so I hope you'll take my input as the
perspective of an outsider who really wants to see the org continue to do
great things. Feel free to yell at me if it's inappropriate for me to get
involved at this level :)

We have a couple weeks before the conference and I think it would be great
if we (who can make it to D.C.) came with a shared context. Because not
everyone will be able to attend (or some might need to leave before a final
meeting wrap-up), it might be useful for us to start collaborating on a
shared vision for what the unconference should accomplish and how the
enthusiasm and outcomes from the last Free Culture conference in Berkeley
can be replicated and improved upon.

I've updated the wiki page at
http://wiki.freeculture.org/FC2010_Conferenceand seeded it with some
initial content, but I don't want to monopolize the
discussion. Feel free to edit/add questions and answers, or to re-frame the
page entirely.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again!

Best,
Alex
