[FC-discuss] Defective by Design iPad petition

Hey FC Folks,

I just got a mailing from the Defective by Design crew about the petition
they're running against the iPad's use of DRM and similar technologies.
While I'm not sure of the effectiveness of a petition like this in terms of
actually influencing the device as it comes out--I suspect Steve listens to
his mail about as much as he listens to the other people at Apple--it is a
pretty neat publicity stunt, which attracts attention and raises the issues.
And how cool does it look, right?
