???

Is this a functioning microscope?
Is it no longer in use?

Why would they want someone taking it apart or building things w/ it?

Jonathan,

I saw the microscope equipment of Dr. Aaron Neiman of Biology. It's
really cool!

The parts include a apparatus that produces light anywhere in the
visible spectrum, a robot tray with 3-degrees of freedom, and an
(automated) objective lens turret. Plus, various motherboards, light
filters, mirrors and connectors. In total, there is about 600 lbs of
equipment.

Island Labs has access to all of it or just parts. In theory, a
simplified microscope can be made from the parts of one unit, which Dr.
Neiman wanted to construct.

Dr. Neiman wanted to coordinate collecting the parts.

Peace,
Chris
